Ninth Move

Ninth Move is a turn-based strategy game about reading positions, creating threats, and seeing the reply before it arrives. Three distinct pieces meet on a compact 6×8 board where every move changes what becomes possible next.

Guide a piece through an opposing exit, eliminate the other side, or leave it without a legal move. Play through 30 named campaign positions, study completed games, and challenge other players through Game Center.

WAYS TO WIN

A winning position can come from speed, force, or control. Keep every path in mind—the strongest move may threaten more than one.

Exit

Guide any piece onto either gold exit along your opponent's edge.

Eliminate

Remove every one of your opponent's pieces from the board.

Close The Board

Control the position until your opponent has no legal move remaining.

THREE DISTINCT PIECES

Every piece captures by landing on an opponent. The difference is how each one reaches its destination.

Striders

Move one square forward, left, or right. Direct and dependable, Striders build lanes toward the exits.

Jumpers

Leap in an L-shape, even over occupied squares. Jumpers create threats from unexpected angles.

Guards

Move one square in any direction. Guards connect formations, defend routes, and switch direction quickly.

DEEP TO MASTER

Learn the movement rules in minutes. Then discover how much can happen when three piece types, two exits, captures, and restoration begin to interact.

Every Third Capture Matters

Every third capture restores one lost piece near your home edge. A material advantage can become a new tactical problem in a moment.

A CAMPAIGN BUILT TO BE STUDIED

Each position changes the geometry of the game—not merely the difficulty. New exits, obstacles, channels, and formations demand a different plan.
